Collect, Use and Disclosure
The Light Dynamics Centre collects personal information on a voluntary basis for the purpose of providing our services. Personal information is only collected for purposes that are directly related to the operation of providing our services. These operations are, but not limited to; making bookings, processing purchases, collecting feedback, providing services and communicating with clients. The Light Dynamics Centre does not provide or sell personal information to external third parties for marketing purposes.
Where personal information is collected for inclusion in a record, the Light Dynamics Centre will take all reasonable steps to ensure the individual is aware of the reason and purpose that information is being collected, where not already obvious.
In a circumstance where requested information is not voluntarily provided, the Light Dynamics Centre may be unable to provide a full range of services or may be unable to provide services altogether.
Victorian Government Covid-19 health directives require the Light Dynamics Centre to maintain a Visitor and Patron Contact Log recording details of all people receiving in-person services. These records hold a client’s first and last name, phone number and the date and time they received an in-person service. These records are kept for 28 days as per Victorian Government health directives.
Personal information may be disclosed when required by law, or if the Light Dynamics Centre reasonably believes it is necessary to prevent or reduce a serious threat to the life or health of any person.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Data Quality and Data Security
The Light Dynamics Centre relies on clients to provide information accurately and advise of changes in personal information in order to maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date information. We advise clients to contact us to inform us of any changes to their information to ensure the Light Dynamics Centre can continue to provide services to them.
The Light Dynamics Centre will ensure all reasonable steps are taken to safeguard the information it holds so that it is protected against misuse or loss from unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Payments and financial information.
All online payments to the Light Dynamics Centre are processed through the payment gateway PayPal and WooCommerce Payments (via Stripe). Payments for services in-person are accepted as cash or card payments using Visa or Mastercard are processed via Square terminal. All these payment methods are PCI compliant.
The Light Dynamics Centre does not view nor store any client financial information.
